September 14th, 2009 at 12:09 pmThough there are still a few days of summer left, there is a touch of autumn in the air. Glorious Autumn!
Growing up in California, there wasn’t a remarkable difference in the seasons. I believe the changing of the seasons is one of the reasons that I love living on the East Coast. Autumn is my favorite. The sights, the smells, the sounds, the tastes, the feeling that autumn brings – all of it. Autumn is a season of abundance.
With autumn knocking on my door, I am reminded that Thanksgiving will soon be here. It is too soon to start cooking that thanksgiving turkey but it isn’t too soon to be cooking up something special for dear family and friends.
My September Country Heart Giveaway is the lovely Autumn Stampin’ Up set Gifts of the Earth. This is my very favorite autumn stamp set in this year’s holiday mini catalog.
I am looking forward to making Thanksgiving cards to send and place cards to set at our table. Simply beautiful!

My favorite things about Autumn are most definitely the colors. I love to feel the first crisp chill blow through the air and of course you can’t forget the food. I love all the comfort foods that go along with those chilly days.

My favorite things about Autumn are the changing colors. It’s like a scrappy quilt, with brilliant colors everywhere. I love that I can slow down and spend time quilting and sitting late into the night with a good book. Next to winter, Autumn is my favorite season.

My favorite time of the year is Autumn. I love to have a camp fire down by the pond and have hot cider! I love to decorate and have a Mom’s Back to School Mom’s Night out each Autumn.

I just read about your giveaway at Farming on Faith’s blog. The stamping kit is so adorable that I had to rush right over and check it out. Your blog is also beautiful and I plan to spend some time here.
Living in the south I think my favorite thing about fall is the cooler, crisper air. I love to be able to open the windows. Of course I also love the beautiful colors of the season, wearing sweaters again, spiced cider, soups & stews, walking in the woods and collecting pretty leaves & acorns. I guess you could say I like everything about the beautiful autumn season.

I must confess, I love EVERYTHING about autumn. My birthday is in October, so I guess that is pretty natural! I love hot spiced cider, raking leaves, hot soup and homemade bread fresh from the oven . . . but my very favorite is to settle in with a good book on a long night, with Mr. Moodie, my cat, snuggled in with me. I love Autumn too! I think my favorite things about Autumn are definitely the change of color of the leaves, crispness in the air, having soup or stews for dinner, pumpkin pie, fires in the fireplace, snuggling under blankets watching tv, or with my sweatheart, or the kitties! :o) Have a lovely day!!

Hi! I am new to your blog, and I look forward to reading through it!!! Autumn is my favorite season!!! There is just something about the beauty of the trees all decked out in their beautiful colors!!!! I love the cooler temperatures, and the feel of a nice cosy, comfy sweater to take away the chill! The air just seems so fresh and crisp!

My favourite time of year has always been Autumn:-) I just love the way Mother Nature colours everything during that season. Walking in trails, crunching leaves underneath my feet, that has to be my favourite part!! You are so generous to have giveaways every month, dear Gina, thank you!! xoxo

Unfortunately, in this part of the world, Autumn doesn’t mean cool days, crisp weather, rusty colours etc. We just have more humidity, rain and actually grass strats growing again, afetr being all dried up in our torrid summer. However, I do bake pumpkin pies in Autumn! And I take out all y rugs, throw overs and carpets for that warmer look!
